Limited water resources in the country and the need for healthy food have led to an increased focus on the multifunctional use of water resources, as well as fish production, to meet human needs and enhance the economic capacity of farmers. Therefore, the aim of this research is to investigate the effect of irrigating with fishery wastewater on yield and yield components of Persian Leek (Allium persicum L.). The current experiment was conducted in the greenhouse of the water engineering department at the Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources University of Gorgan. The experiment aimed to examine three water quality levels (city water, a mixture of fishery wastewater and city water at a ratio of 50:50, and fishery wastewater) in a completely randomized design based on potted cultivation and with four replications. The results showed that the water quality of irrigation significantly affected the fresh and dry weight of roots, plant height, fresh weight of the plant, and the number of leaves per plant at a one percent probability level. However, the dry weight of the plant and root length became significant at a five percent probability level. The results indicated that all the mentioned traits increased with the increase in the amount of fishery wastewater. Based on the results, the highest amount of aerial organ weight (13.97 g), root weight (8.58 g), and aerial organ height (26.55 cm) were observed under irrigation conditions with fishery wastewater. The treatment of a 50% mixture of fish pond effluent and city water resulted in a 5.72% increase in the aerial organ weight of Persian leek plant compared to the city water treatment. Moreover, since fishery wastewater contains the necessary nutritional elements for plant growth, its use in Persian leek plant cultivation is recommended, and further investigations are required for other vegetables.
