The lack of water resources and the increase in air temperature and solar radiation, especially in the summer, are important limitations for the production of many agricultural products, including citrus fruits in Iran. In order to plan and manage water better in the agricultural, one must first have sufficient knowledge of the current situation in the region. Since citrus is one of the major and essential plants in the south of Kerman, water management is very important in this area. The present study aimed to measure the volume of irrigation water, water productivity, and applied water (irrigation + effective rainfall) in orange orchards in southern Kerman province (Jiroft and Anbarabad). Average volume of applied water for orange in the southern region of Kerman provincewas 15460 m3/h. The range of variations in irrigation water in southern Kerman is large, ranging from 9000 m3/h in Jiroft to 22464 m3/h in Anbarabad. The range of yield variations in selected orange orchards in the southern Kerman region is between 11 and 60 tons per hectare. The weighted average yield in selected orange orchards in southern Kerman was 27 ton/h. The range of changes in water productivity is high and ranges from 0.5 to 3.84 kg/m3. The range of variations in water productivity is high, between 0.5 and 3.6 kg/m3. The average water productivity in Jiroft province was 2.26 kg/m3 and in Anbarabad province was 1.26 kg/m3. Knowing the values of water management indicators, including the volume of irrigation water and the water productivity of the important horticultural and agricultural crops of the country, plays an important role in the planning related to the supply, allocation and consumption of water is fundamental in different sectors, including agricultur.
